Instructional Design for CBT

Overview
This course is intended for persons responsible for creating computer-based training (CBT) courses. The course covers the fundamentals of instructional design as it relates to the development of CBT. This course does not focus on any particular CBT authoring system, but rather teaches concepts that can be applied to any electronic learning medium. After learning the concepts of good instructional design, several CBT courses and websites will be evaluated by the class for adherence to sound instructional design principles.

Target Audience
This course is intended for persons responsible for creating computer-based training (CBT) courses. Those responsible for delivering instructor-led training or website developers may find this class useful. This course is recommended for site and corporate trainers as well as other training content developers.

Benefits
During this course, you will receive instruction on the topics described in the Course Overview. You will have the opportunity to practice each topic on a live system. You will also receive a printed course guide that covers the topics presented in this course. You may take the optional online test at the completion of the course. Lunch is provided for courses taught at the Angleton Training Center.
